Lab Equipments

The equipments and software used within the scope of the studies carried out in Ontolab are listed.

Select type:

Enobio EEG

Enobio is a wearable, wireless electrophysiology sensor system. It allows realization, record and visualization of 24-bit EEG data at 500 S/s. Event-related potential can be measured using Enobio.

Shimmer GSR

The Shimmer GSR is a wireless Galvanic skin response device that measures the change in heat and electricity transmitted through the skin with sweat and nerves. It provides real-time bio-feedback.

Tobii Eye Tracker

It includes software and hardware that allows for detecting and analyzing eye movements.

Eye tracker is a device for determining eye positions and eye movements. An eye movement recording can provide data about where a person is looking, frequency of fixations and the lengths of those fixations with a gaze map consisting of fixation patterns of process. Variety of disciplines use eye tracking techniques, including cognitive psychology, develomental psychology, the visual world paradigm), human-computer interaction (HCI), neuropsychology and medicine.

Tobii T120: Tobii T120 eye tracker is an infrared binocular eye tracker consisting of a high-resolution camera embedded in a 17-inch LCD monitor with 1280X1024 pixels resolution. It is capable of binocular tracking with 0.5° accuracy at a sampling rate of 120 Hz.

Gazepoint Mobil Eye Tracker

It includes software and mobile hardware that allow eye movement detection and analysis

Oculus Lift S VR ve Unity

It includes the software infrastructure required for the preparation of Virtual Reality environments, and the glasses set used for the demonstration of educational virtual reality applications.

iMotions- Affectiva Analysis

It is a biometric research platform that combines metrics related to eye tracking, facial expression, galvanic skin response and EEG data, and enables simultaneous viewing and analysis of data. iMotions with Affectiva software can identify seven different emotions using facial expressions, physiological signals (EEG, GSR), eye, eyebrow and mouth movements. In addition, values for attention, engagement and valence are also produced by this platform.

Tobii Studio ™

Tobi Studio software calculate the standard eye tracking and click metrics, provide flexible tables and charts which are enable to be exported in SPSS, Excel or Mat Lab. It visualizes the user's gaze behavior to make data understandable and enable replaying of recording sessions and event logging for in-depth qualitative analysis.

In addition, Tobii studio software enables to quantify gaze data with area of interest (AOI) which relate eye gaze to certain objects or areas on the screen.

E-Prime

E-Prime, the software applications suite for conducting psychological and neuroscientific experiments as well as providing collecting data with these experiments and to analyze data. E-Prime provides millisecond precision timing to ensure the accuracy of data. E-Prime includes some applications which provide flexibility to create experiments easily which are originally complex.
These applications;

  • E-Studio: Drag and drop graphical interface for experiment design.
  • E-Basic: Underlying scripting language of E-Prime (nearly identical to Visual Basic for Applications ™).
  • E-Run: Once experiment design is complete, a single mouse click generates it into an E-Basic script. E-Run then affords you the millisecond precision of stimulus presentation, synchronizations, and data collection.
  • E-Merge: Quickly and easily combines your single session data files for group analysis.
  • E-DataAid: Data management utility that allows you to filter, edit, analyze, and export your data.
  • E-Recovery: Recovers data files in the event of early terminated experiments, or lost or corrupted files.
Wikilog Analysis Tool

Wiki analysis tool was developed to assess individual contribution and group contribution by the quantitative data in wiki group studies.
Quantitative data that is recorded by tool;

  • Page count: Numbers of page created by users.
  • Edit count: Numbers of editing by user.
  • Internal link count: Number of internal links created by user.
  • Word count: Number of user word.
Log Analysis Tool for Navigation Behavior

Log analysis tool reveals out the navigation behavior of the user as a result of the analyzing log user activities on the site.
Log file records the information metrics below;

  • Date: Date of navigation (dd/mm/yyyy)
  • Time: Time of the navigation (ss:dd:ss)
  • Page Name: Name of navigated page (a.htm)
  • IP:IP adress of computer (Internet Protocol)
  • Duration:Visit duration on pages (hh.000)

These data provide information about "Total navigation count", "Total navigation duration", "Unique page count", "Unvisited page count", "Revisition count" and "Count of pages that are visited less than 3 sec."
